Toyko Motor Show
The Tokyo Motor Show is the largest single event in Asia, with more than 15 million people attending. Mitsubishi Motors Corporation needed to make a splash amongst the world’s top automotive manufacturers, so they looked to Obscura to help out.
Obscura responded by debuting both the world’s largest seamless curved video display ever constructed (118ft x 15ft) and the highest resolution full-motion video ever created (7,967 pixels x 1,024 pixels.) Using 14 1280 x 1028 Christie digital projectors, Obscura was able to design and deliver the world’s first 250,000 lumen curved rear projection video display.
Obscura shot HD video in both Italy and Japan with the new Sony MegaVision HD camera, marking the first time this camera has ever been used commercially at an auto show.
