LG At The Babylonian Arch

Architectural Projection

To promote the release of LG’s new 4G 3D cell phone, The Thrill, Obscura Digital transformed Hollywood’s Babylonian Arch, into an intricately detailed, multi-dimensional projection surface.
Initially constructed on Sunset Boulevard in 1916 for D.W. Griffith’s epic movie, Intolerance, the Babylonian Arch is an important part of nearly forgotten cinema history.
Now the center of Hollywood & Highland Mall, this remnant from Griffith’s most elaborate movie set was bought to life with live footage of Jane’s Addiction and fight scenes from Gameloft’s popular shooter app, NOVA.
