50' Dome
ION Marketing wanted to create a buzz around Canon’s limited edition line of Diamond Encrusted Powershot Cameras. Obscura created a 50’ immersive projection dome and animations highlighting the cameras, their photographs, and their spokesperson, Maria Sharapova. Erected at the South Street Seaport in New York a week before the US Open, the tennis star held a press conference in the dome to unveil the Diamond collection and debut her newest Canon commercial. The space was open to the public for 2 days, where they could walk the red carpet, take photos with Maria look-alikes, and test the PowerShot cameras.
