RockWall

From The Beatles to the Bangles this multi-user, multitouch interactive experience dubbed the “RockWall”, has been integrated into numerous Hard Rock Cafe’s globally, and showcases over a thousand legendary rock memorabilia items.

Standing at 18 feet by 4 feet this wall allows multiple users to interact with guitars, costumes, and rock ‘n’ roll images at the same time, in the same space, without interfering with one another. Just spin the wheel, choose your favorite band, select and learn. Using just a slight touch of your fingers, zoom in and out.

To create this experience Obscura build a real-time display system that allows users to interact with high resolution photos and videos moving across the 5200x1080 pixel screen at 60 frames a second.

Working with Technomedia Solutions, Obscura created a spatialized audio system that enables multiple users to hear sound effects in their own space. For cafe visitors, this wall is the next best thing to holding the real items in their hands.
